    • OBITUARY
      GROPPENBACHER, MABEL HUME(nee Hemker), at peace with Jesus, on Sat., July 15, 2000, age 94 years; Mrs. Groppenbacher was born in Franklin County, MO, on April 10, 1906, the descendent of early pioneers; having resided in Webster Groves, MO, Mrs. Groppenbacher lived the past year at the Barnes Jewish Extended Care Facility in Clayton, MO; she died of natural causes.

      The wife of the late George E. Groppenbacher of St. Louis; Mrs. Groppenbacher was preceded in death by her late husband of 44 years, Garford Hume, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Beauregard Stanton Hume of Florissant, MO; Mrs. Groppenbacher is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Richard W. Burnett of St. Louis and Mrs. Joseph J. Wesner Sr. of Dallas, TX; her grandchildren are Richard Hume Burnett and Thomas Kevin Burnett of St. Louis and Joseph J. Wesner Jr., Mrs. Mary Wesner Kimbell, John Garford Wesner and the late Margaret M. Wesner, all of Dallas, TX; dearest great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, cousin and cherished friend of many.

      The family will attend private funeral service from the LUPTON Chapel in University City, MO, on July 19, 2000; with interment at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis. Memorial contributions appreciated to BJC Hospice, 9890 Clayton Rd., Suite 220, St. Louis, MO 63124 or Crestwood Christian Church, 11750 Eddie & Park, St. Louis, MO 63126. A service of the LUPTON Chapel.
