  • Notes
    • Elizabeth Turner married James B. Harrington in Athens Co, OH. 80 acres of land in Chequest Township of Van Buren Co, I A. were sold to Elizabeth Ellen Harrington 22 Aug 1846 and it seems likely that she was widowed prior to marrying George Hume in the home of Samuel K. Harrington (perhaps her father-in-law?)--thus the family belief that Andrew Jackson Hume's mother was Elizabeth Turner. Was she a sister-in-law or some other relation to George's previous wife, Nancy Harrington?

Elizabeth dropped about 5 years off her life between census years of 1870 and 1880.

Elizabeth Ellen Harrington, of Van Buren County IA, received land grant in Chequest Twp on 1 Jan 1847 as sold on 22 Aug 1846.
