      Linn-Barron Wedding Held in Lewistown

      The wedding of Miss Thelma Linn of Canton and Edward Barron of Lewistown was solemnized at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Presbyterian manse in Lewistown.

      The Rev. J. Heydon Lampe officiated at the double ring ceremony. The couple chose to be unattended. The bride wore a brown crepe afternoon dress with brown accessories, and a corsage of Eleanor Roosevelt rosebuds.

      The daughter of Albert Linn, 350 North Avenue A, and a graduate of Canton High school in 1933, Mrs. Barron has been employed in the office of Montgomery Ward company here. She is a member of Illinois Tau chapter, Lambda Chi Omega sorority.

      Mr. Barron, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Barron of Lewistown and a Canton High School graduate in 1932, received his diploma from Monmouth college in 1936. He became a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity at college. He is employed at the Lewistown National bank.

      The couple left soon after the wedding on an automobile trip in Wisconsin. They will be at home after September 5 at 350 North Avenue A.

      Burns Fatal to Canton Man

      Canton - William Edward Barron, 53, of 850 Ravine Ct., Canton, died 10:30 p.m. Friday in Graham Hospital. he had been burned Jan. 2, while filling a tank truck with butane at Norris.

      He was born June 26, 1914, in Lewistown, son of Harry M. and Carrie Myers Barron, and was married Aug. 23, 1939, in Lewistown to Thelma Linn.

      She survives, along with two daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Deanna) Smith of Barrington, and Miss Barbara Barron, at home; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Carrie Barron of Canton; and one brother Charles Barron of Beardstown. His father and one sister preceded him in death.

      He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a moderator and a member of the choir. He was a member of Morning Star Lodge, No. 734, AF & AM; the Elks Lodge; Rotary Club, and Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club. He was a former member of the Scouting Committee and past president of the Canton Community Chest. He was a graduate of Monmouth College, class of 1936.

      Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Murphy Memorial Home, the Rev. S. Jay Curry officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today in the memorial home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Church building fund, of to the Canton YMCA.

      A Masonic service will be held in the memorial home tonight at 7.

      Fulton County Coroner George Kauzlarich will hold an inquest into the death at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in Murphy Memorial Home.
