    • Eldest daughter of Sir Patrick Home of Lumsdean. Married about October 1695. Living Jan. 1733.
      [Case on the Part of Sir Hugh Hume Campbell of Marchmont, Baronet, in relation to the Claim of Francis Douglas Home, Esquire, to the Titles, Honours and Dignities of Earl of Marchmont, Viscount of Blazonberry, Lord Polwart of Polwart, Reidbraes and Greenlaw.       Margaret, daughter of Sir Patrick Home of Lumsden, Bart. Her daughters, Isabel and Jean, had from their brother, her son, a joint bond of provision for 5000 marks, (about 270 pounds) which was to come to them on the death of Ninian Home. They had no fortune but the prospect of this bond; and Jean livd with her mother for twenty years after the date of it; as soon as Ninian died, the mother brought an action at law against her daughter Jean, and claimed to be paid for having fed her penniless child during that period!!!
